Privacy Policy

1. General

Compounding ("the Company") operates "Toon My Day" ("the Service") and maintains this Privacy Policy to comply with applicable data protection laws and to protect users' personal information.

2. Information We Collect

To provide the Service, the Company collects the following categories of personal information.

  • Required: email address, identity provider ID (Apple/Google/Firebase), device push token (FCM)
  • Optional: name (if provided via social login)
  • Generated while using the Service: diary text you write, generated 4-panel comic images, character setup information (gender/age range, or an appearance description extracted from an uploaded photo), and any free-text you enter such as occupation or frequent locations
  • Optionally provided: a photo used to create your character — the original is deleted from our servers immediately after character generation, unless you separately opt in to retention
  • Subscription-related: subscription status, product ID, expiry date (payment/card details are handled directly by the App Store/Google Play and are never collected by the Company)
  • Advertising-related (optional): device advertising identifier, only if you consent to ad tracking
  • Content you submit through support/feedback, including account-deletion reasons
  • Automatically collected: access logs, device/OS information, error logs, and usage records (screen views, feature usage and similar events used for statistical analysis)

3. Purpose of Collection and Use

  • Member identification, authentication, and fraud prevention
  • Providing the core service (turning diary entries into 4-panel comics) and maintaining character consistency
  • Managing Pro subscriptions and syncing payment status
  • Sending push notifications (e.g. comic-ready alerts)
  • Responding to inquiries and improving the Service
  • Analysing service usage statistics and measuring advertising performance (processed in aggregate, non-identifying form)

4. Sharing with Third Parties

The Company does not share your personal information with external parties, except where required by law or where you have given prior consent (for example, when you create and share a public link to one of your comics).

5. Outsourced Processing and Overseas Transfer

The Company outsources certain processing and transfers data overseas as described below, to entities bound by law and by contract to protect your data.

  • Google (Gemini API, USA) — AI processing of diary text and photos (comic script generation, appearance description, image generation, content moderation)
  • Google Firebase (USA) — sign-in authentication, push notifications (FCM), and usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)
  • RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) — subscription/payment status management
  • Google AdMob (USA) — ad delivery (advertising identifier processed only if you consent to tracking)
  • Apple Inc. / Google LLC (USA) — social sign-in and in-app purchase processing

6. Retention Period

  • When you delete your account, it is deactivated immediately and can be restored by signing in again within 30 days.
  • After 30 days, your account and associated diary entries, comics, and character data are permanently and irrecoverably deleted, except where retention is required by law.
  • The original photo used to create your character is deleted immediately after character generation completes, unless you separately opted in to retention.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information at any time, via the "Delete Account" option in the app's My Page, or by contacting us at the address below.

8. Destruction Procedure and Method

Once the retention period has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, electronic files are deleted using methods that prevent recovery or reproduction.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 14. If the Company becomes aware that it has collected personal information from a child under 14, it will delete that information without delay.

10. Technical and Administrative Safeguards

  • Access to personal information is restricted to the minimum personnel necessary
  • Data in transit is encrypted (TLS)
  • Regular internal security reviews

12. Notice of Changes

If this Privacy Policy is added to, removed, or amended, the Company will announce the change through the app and website at least 7 days before it takes effect (30 days for material changes).
