Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Compounding ("the Company") and users in connection with the use of the "Toon My Day" service ("the Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the mobile application and related website that turn a user's diary entries into AI-generated 4-panel comics.
- "User" means a registered member or guest who uses the Service under these Terms.
- "Content" means diary entries, uploaded photos, and generated 4-panel comic images.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
These Terms take effect when posted within the Service or otherwise notified to users.
The Company may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law, announcing the effective date and reason for amendment at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes unfavorable to users).
Article 4 (Provision, Change, and Suspension of Service)
The Company provides diary-based 4-panel comic generation, character setup, art-style selection, and comic sharing.
The Company may change or suspend all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, with advance notice where possible; urgent maintenance may be notified after the fact.
Article 5 (Registration and Accounts)
Users may access the Service via Apple or Google social sign-in, or as a guest.
Users are responsible for safeguarding their account and must notify the Company immediately upon becoming aware of unauthorized use.
Users may delete their account at any time from My Page; the deletion process follows the Privacy Policy.
Article 6 (Rights in User Content)
- Copyright in diary entries a user writes and the 4-panel comics generated from them belongs to the user.
- The user grants the Company permission to store, process, and display that content to the extent necessary to provide the Service (comic generation, maintaining character consistency, etc.).
- If a user creates and shares a public link to a comic, they acknowledge that anyone with the link can view it.
Article 7 (Notice Regarding AI-Generated Content)
Comic images and character appearances generated by the Service are produced automatically by AI and may differ from reality or from what the user expected.
The Company operates automated moderation to prevent inappropriate content (self-harm, violence, sexual content, illegal content, etc.); as a result, content generation may be refused or require a retry.
Article 8 (Subscriptions)
- The Service offers a free plan and a paid subscription (Pro) plan.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically. To disable auto-renewal, cancel via the subscription management menu of the respective store.
- Refunds follow the refund policy and procedures of Apple or Google; the Company does not process payments or refunds directly.
Article 9 (User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct)
Users shall not engage in any of the following while using the Service:
- Using another person's account, photo, or personal information without authorization to create a character
- Attempting to generate content that is illegal, violent, sexual, or infringes on others' rights
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Service or using it abnormally (e.g. bulk automated requests)
- Copying, reverse-engineering, or commercially reselling the Service without authorization
Article 10 (Intellectual Property)
Intellectual property rights in the Service itself (software, design, art styles, etc.) belong to the Company. Rights in individual content generated by users are governed by Article 6.
Article 11 (Disclaimer)
The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure, a user's own fault, or failures of third-party providers (e.g. AI providers) beyond the Company's control.
The Company does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content, and, to the extent permitted by law, limits its liability for damages arising from reliance on such content.
Article 12 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
In the event of a dispute between the Company and a user regarding these Terms, both parties shall first make good-faith efforts to resolve it through consultation.
Disputes not resolved through consultation shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, with jurisdiction determined under the Civil Procedure Act.
Effective Date
These Terms are effective as of July 21, 2026.
